Minimum Ingredients!

One of the best things about this recipe is that you don’t need a long list of fancy ingredients.
- Chicken wings: 1 kg / 2.2 lb
- Baking powder (not baking soda): 1 tsp
- Salt: 1 tsp
- Black pepper: 1 tsp
- Garlic powder: 1 tsp
- Cooking oil: 2 tsp
This basic seasoning gives crispy, flavorful wings every time, but you can tweak it with extra spices if you like.
How to Make These Crispy Chicken Wings in Air Fryer

- Cut and Prepare: Start by patting your chicken wings completely dry with paper towels.
( If your wings still have the tips attached, you can remove them and separate the drumettes and flats. )

- Season the chicken wings: Place the wings in a large bowl. Season it with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cooking oil.
Mix well until all wings are evenly coated. Set it aside and let it rest for 30 minutes.

- Arrange in the air fryer: Place wings in a single layer in the basket.
Cook in batches if needed for best results.

- Air fry: Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes. Flip the wings and cook for another 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
Cooking time needs to be adjusted according to the size of the chicken wings.
Khin's Tips for Extra Crispy Wings
Pat the wings completely dry before seasoning. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for good airflow.
Use baking powder, not baking soda, to make the skin puff up and get golden. ( It's a key to achieving golden crispy wings without adding any cornstarch or flour. )
For an extra texture coating, you can add a tablespoon of cornstarch to your seasoning.
What We Love Serving It Together
These wings are so versatile! Here are a few of my favourite ways to serve them: classic tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, buffalo sauce or BBQ for dipping. Add a side of fries, potato wedges, or roasted or steamed veggies.
As part of a snack platter with nachos, crisps, or sliders. Serve with fresh celery and carrot sticks, ranch sauce or cheese.

Yes, You Can Freeze and Reheat!
These wings are perfect for meal prep. Air fry them halfway through cooking, then let them cool completely. Transfer the half-cooked wings to a freezer bag and store them in the freezer.
When you’re ready to enjoy, reheat in the preheated air fryer at 180°C (350°F) for 8-10 minutes, or until heated through and crispy.
How We Prepare a Big Batch for Parties
Hosting a crowd? No problem. You can double or triple the recipe, but don’t overcrowd your air fryer basket and cook in batches. Keep cooked wings warm in a low oven (around 90-100°C / 200°F) while finishing the rest.
Serve with multiple dipping sauces so everyone can choose between buffalo, honey garlic, and ranch.
Extra Seasonings and Spices
You can boost the wings' flavour with a few extra spices. For a kick of heat, try adding smoked paprika, onion powder, mixed dried herbs, or a pinch of chilli flakes in the chicken seasonings.
After the wings are cooked, you can also sprinkle on some peri-peri seasoning, barbecue powder, or Chinese salt and pepper, then toss everything together while they’re still hot so the flavours stick beautifully.
Trust me, with so many simple variations, you’ll never get bored with this simple air fryer wings recipe in your kitchen.
